Garden Route South Africa

The Garden Route is a 200 km section of the South African coastline stretching from the town of Mossel Bay to just the other side of the Tsitsikamma National Park. It is often referred to as ‘the outdoor adventure activities and golfing Mecca of South Africa’.

Apart from Plettenberg Bay, there are other lovely towns and attractions along the Garden Route that visitors should see.

This bustling little town is just 30 kms from Plettenberg Bay and offers visitors, amongst other things, a memorable 4 hour ‘Eco Experience’ at Featherbed Island.

The Harkerville and Knysna forests are situated between Plettenberg Bay and Knysna and offer a variety of hiking trails, mountain bike trails and breathtaking views.

The beautiful town of Oudtshoorn is situated in the Klein Karoo (little desert). A trip to this area will take you through some dramatic mountain landscape. Visit the Cango Ostrich Farm and learn about the famous “feather barons” or venture into the underground wonderland of the Cango Caves

Tsitsikamma Coastal National Park
Situated at the Eastern edge of the Garden Route, the Tsitsikamma Coastal National Park stretches 67 kms along some of the most spectacular coastline of Southern Africa. Here you can enjoy spectacular views of the Indian Ocean breakers, evergreen forests and fynbos.
